Coquille River Upper Estuary Salmon

Overview

Fishing for Chinook and Coho Salmon in the upper reaches of the Coquille River Estuary can be very productive.  Bright fish and dark fish intermingle in the holding zones in this area.  The important thing to remember is to release dark fish.  They taste bad and we want them to spawn and create more salmon.  If you need eggs, please only take hatchery hens, especially if they are dark.
